The “Don’t Give Up Choir” was formed in 2011 by gospel music producer Kyoto Uchiki in both Japan and New York in response to tragic Japanese Tsunami in 2011.   Uchiki’s idea was to use the power of music to support victims of the disaster. Choir members are drawn from all over Japan and perform in many different venues there. Music “Don’t Give UP “which was written by Danny Eason, produced by Kyoko Uchiki and feature by Kohshi &Don’t Give Up Choir, was released on line also to make fund for activity.

 In New York, the “Don’t Give Up Choir” has appeared at McDonald’s Gospel Fest since 2011 and has also been invited as special guests to perform at high profile events including, the United Nations Youth Assembly, the Birthday Celebration of the Emperor of Japan in New York, and the Annual Harlem Week Festival.

 The Choir has also appeared on American Television on shows including Fox 5 “Good Day New York,” and on WPIX “PIX 11.”
